Affiliate disclosure
Last updated
In short: some links on stylinai.com and in the Stylin app are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a small commission. It never costs you anything extra, and it never decides what we recommend.
How Stylin makes money
Stylin is a free AI personal-styling app and style editorial, run by STYLIN.AI LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom. Keeping the app and our guides free means we need an income that does not come from your data. Affiliate commission is one of the ways we earn it. We may also offer optional paid features in the app, and we work directly with some fashion brands (see For Brands).
Where you will see affiliate links
- Style guides on our blog, where we link to specific pieces that illustrate the advice.
- This Week's Drop, where we link to the items that make up each look.
- Shopping picks in the Stylin app, which suggest pieces to fill gaps in an outfit built from your own wardrobe.
- Comparison and answer pages, if they link to a product or retailer.
Pages that may carry affiliate links say so near the top and link back here.
It does not cost you more
The commission is paid by the retailer, not by you. The price you pay is the same whether you arrive through our link or go to the retailer directly.
How we choose what to recommend
We pick products because they fit the look, the occasion or the advice in a guide: the cut, the colour, the price point and the body shape it suits. Commission rates do not decide which products appear or the order they appear in, and we also recommend items that earn us nothing. In the app, shopping picks are matched to your style profile, your wardrobe and your budget.
If a brand ever pays us to feature a product or a page, we label it clearly as Sponsored or In partnership with that brand. Brands cannot pay to change our editorial advice or our rankings.
Our own app in our comparisons
Stylin makes an AI stylist app, and our comparison pages include it alongside competing apps. We say so on those pages. We do not earn affiliate commission from the other apps we compare.
Who tracks the links
Affiliate links are tracked by affiliate networks working on behalf of the retailers. We currently work with Awin, CJ (Commission Junction) and Sovrn Commerce, and will update this page if that changes. When you click an affiliate link, the network and the retailer may use cookies on their own websites to record the click and any purchase. We never share your photos, wardrobe or account details with them. Section 8 of our Privacy Policy explains what they collect and how to opt out.
The rules we follow
We aim to follow the UK CAP Code and Competition and Markets Authority guidance on advertising disclosure, and the US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides, which require affiliate relationships to be clear to readers.
